About UnLtd

UnLtd, the Foundation for Social Entrepreneurs, is a charity which supports social entrepreneurs – people with vision, drive, commitment and passion who want to change the world for the better. A complete package of funding and support is provided to help these individuals make their ideas a reality.

The live pitching awards programme

UnLtd are running a number of pitching competitions in conjunction with School For Startups’ Start Here! Starting & Growing a Successful Business events across the UK where individuals will have the opportunity to pitch for one Award of up to £5,000 funding and support from UnLtd.

* Please note that you may only apply for one of the following Awards. Existing UnLtd Award Winners cannot apply. The competition is open to new applicants only.

Please ensure you meet the criteria required of each Award before applying.

Applicants will be shortlisted and invited to pitch at their registered event.

Higher Education Social Entrepreneurship Awards – £5,000

UnLtd and the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) have joined forces to launch an Awards programme to promote and recognise social entrepreneurship activity in higher education.

Through the HE Social Entrepreneurship Awards programme, higher education institutions (HEIs) are being encouraged to develop their enterprise skills in supporting activities that have a social purpose. The programme will provide staff and students with support and funding for enterprising new ventures.

Catalyst Awards of up to £5,000 will allow individuals to grow an entrepreneurial idea that also creates positive social change.

Better Net Awards

The Better Net Awards is an exciting new programme from UnLtd and Nominet Trust to provide individuals with funding and support to improve and encourage the development of a safe, educational and inclusive Internet.

Up to £5,000 is available to individuals to develop and lead Internet based solutions to the problems that affect our society.

UnLtd Level 1 Awards

The UnLtd Level 1 Awards programme, supported by the Millennium Awards Trust, is designed to give opportunities to individuals who have an idea that will bring about positive social change in the UK.

The Awards of up to £5,000 funding and support are aimed at energetic, driven and committed individuals aged 16 and over who have an idea and need help getting it off the ground.

UnLtd 4iP Awards

UnLtd and 4iP have teamed up to help individuals develop early stage digital media ideas and prototypes. Together they will build the skills, capabilities and partnerships to turn prototypes into social businesses.

The UnLtd 4iP Awards of up to £5,000 helps individuals from across the UK to turn their digital media project into a reality.

4iP will share its expertise in digital media and UnLtd will provide dedicated support including training opportunities, mentoring and access to resources to help individuals develop their skills and their projects.
