Perfect Your Pitch S4Stv – Hosted by University College London

17 MAY 2010 By Doug Richard

Are you pitch perfect? Refining your business pitch is a real skill, but a skill that must be acquired to ensure you can give your product, service or concept the justice it deserves. In many instances, entrepreneurs have just one chance to make an impression with someone. Whether you’re talking to an investor, a customer or a bank manager; when you talk about your offering you need to be able to clearly and concisely illustrate the value in your proposition. A lousy pitch can be the breaking of an otherwise potentially great business. So if your pitch needs perfecting, this completely free event is the one for you!

Perfect Your Pitch! at University College London will be personally hosted by serial entrepreneur Doug Richard. Doug has pitched businesses and been pitched to by businesses for over 20 years. Dragon’s Den allowed viewers at home to see just how easy it is for a pitch to fall apart under scrutiny, but it also demonstrated how the perfect pitch can have investors biting your hand off to jump on board. Perfect Your Pitch! will help you to be in the latter camp, rather than the kind of entrepreneur that’s waiting for the floor to swallow them up as soon as they start to pitch.

Doug will be joined on the day by, Anthony Lau, CEO of Cyclehoop and winner of The Pitch 2009. Anthony will be on hand to offer advice and guidance on refining your pitch, letting you know what tips and tricks worked for him to win the coveted Pitch Competition crown.

Tickets are limited to this free event, so book quick! And remember, if you can’t get to UCL to be in the audience on the day then you can always tune in via S4Stv at home completely free of charge.
