Final Call For Entries: Business Heroes Prepares For Take-Off

As a new year begins – one that’s likely to be tough across the board – UK plc will again be looking to the small business community to power us out of the economic doldrums. At MT, we want to champion the firms that continue to thrive in hard times – which is why we launched our Business Heroes competition, in conjunction with Cisco. And just because we want to make sure we attract the cream of the crop – and because we know you’ve all been busy over the festive period – we’ve decided to extend the deadline to 11th January. Consider it a late Christmas present…

And on the subject of announcements, we’re proud to reveal the three entrepreneurs who’ll be joining MT and David Critchley, director of Cisco’s UK SME and commercial division, on the judging panel. First up is Michelle Dewberry, Lord Sugar’s first ever female Apprentice; after working with Sugar for 10 months, she now runs her own start-up, The Daily Chic. Our second judge is Doug Richard, who is no stranger to judging entrepreneurs and business plans, having featured in the first two series of Dragons’ Den.
