Hi school for startups,
I am in the embryonic stages of setting up a car journey sharing website. It seems to be the perfect time to set up the business as social media sites such as facebook and the mobile phone apps lend themselves massively to such a project.
However, the big opportunity that I am currently looking into is making the website pan-European with European entrepreneurs running a licence in their respective countries. This will allow the website to achieve critical mass much quicker. I have already started the search, I've tweeted my albeit limited twitter followers, dropped a few messages on seedcamp.com and the Company Partners website. I am based out in Geneva for the next month or two so am lucky enough to have the chance of going to an Entrepreneurs meet-up there tomorrow which should be a good opportunity. Does anyone have any other ideas of avenues I should be trying to find some really exciting, innovative European entrepreneurs.
