If we want a society that has a world-class NHS, secure streets and great schools for our children, then we must provide that society with the income it requires to support it. We cannot rely on multinational corporations that have the ability to forum shop amongst countries looking for the lowest cost tax jurisdiction. Neither can we depend on the finance sector which creates only a small number of new jobs We must instead champion the young companies that create the new jobs, wealth and opportunities.
